AI where it pays off in ecommerce

AI is good at what takes the most time in a store with many products: writing, structuring and reviewing at volume. In Ecombooster the AI is built into the flows where the work already happens, so it has the product's full context, with attributes, images, supplier data and keywords, instead of just a product name.

Ecombooster uses models from Anthropic (Claude) and OpenAI, and each AI feature can run on the model best suited to that particular task.

Product content

A single call writes the product description, excerpt, meta title and meta description, built on specifications, attributes, supplier copy and tracked keywords. The same engine writes category copy, where the AI knows the category's place in the tree, its products and brands, and copy for composite products based on what their components carry.

Every text gets a quality score across seven dimensions and can get an independent second opinion from the other model provider. Texts are versioned, can be compared side by side and go through a review flow before publishing. Read more about AI-generated product content.

Product data and structure

  • Attributes from free text. The AI extracts structured attributes from supplier descriptions, with unit conversion such as "3 kW" to "3000 W", and sticks to the values that already exist for the attribute so filters keep working.
  • Suggested attributes. For a product type without attributes, the AI suggests which ones should be required, which values they may take, and a value per product where the text supports it.
  • Suggested products. The other way round: from a product type's name, the AI finds the products that belong there, ranked with a reason for each.
  • Traceable. Values set by the AI are marked with the source "AI" and can be reviewed and confirmed. Conflicting suggestions are all kept and surfaced instead of the first one winning.

Images

The AI can read the image itself and suggest alt text, as a suggestion that never overwrites text you already have. For composite products, the AI picks the images that together show what the buyer gets, and each choice comes with a reason.

Translation

Product copy can be translated with AI directly in the content flow, and translated content is tracked with a review status. Google Translate is also available, plus DeepL as an add-on.

Search and visibility

  • AI search optimization. Copy can be built to be cited by ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Overviews, with structured data validated against Google's requirements. See AI search optimization.
  • SEO analysis. With one click the AI analyses data from Search Console, GA4, keyword trends and advertising, and gives concrete recommendations: pages to create or improve, keyword clusters and quick wins. See SEO & Marketing Hub.
  • Ad insights. AI-generated summaries of how your ads perform. See advertising analytics.

Purchasing and competitors

When competitor listings are to be matched against your products, the AI can judge whether each listing really is the same item and write a reason. It suggests but never decides: nothing is approved until you have looked. Read more about price intelligence.

AI assistant in the tool

The admin has an AI assistant that knows which page you are on and answers from Ecombooster's knowledge base and your own articles.

Control and cost

  • You decide. The AI makes suggestions that you approve, one at a time or in bulk.
  • Nothing is overwritten. Copy and values you have curated are never replaced by an AI suggestion.
  • Cost upfront. Every run shows its estimated cost before it starts, and usage is reported per month, feature and model.
  • Transparency. You can see exactly which product data is sent to the AI before a generation.

Who is it for?

AI in Ecombooster pays off most for retailers with large assortments where product copy, attributes and translations cannot be kept up by hand. With a small assortment and hand-written copy, the need is smaller.

Frequently asked questions

Which AI models does Ecombooster use?

Models from Anthropic (Claude) and OpenAI. Each AI feature can run on its own model, since the best model differs between, for example, writing copy and extracting attributes.

Does the AI overwrite our existing copy?

No. The AI makes suggestions that are reviewed and approved, and curated copy or values are never replaced automatically. Earlier versions of a text can always be restored.

How do we know the copy is good enough?

Every text gets a quality score across seven dimensions, is checked for banned words and repetition, and is compared with other products' copy so they do not end up alike. Existing copy is scored as a baseline, so you see whether the AI version is actually better.

What do the AI features cost?

AI content generation is an add-on with usage-based pricing. The cost of every run is shown before it starts. See pricing.

Does it work in Swedish and other languages?

Yes. Copy is written and translated in Swedish and other languages, and readability is measured with LIX for Swedish and Flesch-Kincaid for English.
