How the integration with your store works

Ecombooster does not replace your ecommerce platform. The store keeps handling checkout, customers and design, while Ecombooster is responsible for product data and syncs it there. The integration works both ways: you can fetch data from the store, push data to it and compare the two.

The comparison shows exactly which fields differ between Ecombooster and the store, and you choose which side is master for every change. A dry run shows what a sync would do before anything changes. You also choose which fields, such as stock and prices, are updated in the store automatically as soon as they change.

Platforms and what syncs

What can be synced differs between platforms. This is the situation today:

  • Nyehandel — full two-way sync of products, variants, categories, attributes, filter tags, images, prices and stock. Composite products are published as bundles and a changed category URL automatically gets a 301 redirect. See Nyehandel.
  • PrestaShop — full two-way sync. See PrestaShop.
  • WooCommerce — two-way sync with platform comparison: core fields, prices, stock, descriptions, weight and dimensions, brand, categories, images, attributes and attached files such as data sheets. SEO title and description sync for stores using Rank Math. See WooCommerce.
  • Kodmyran — products, categories, attributes, multilingual data, images, prices and stock status via REST API. See Kodmyran.
  • Jetshop (now Norce) — order sync today; full product sync is planned.
  • Magento — product catalog and inventory; full two-way sync is planned.
  • Shopify and Vendre — in development.
  • E37 and Storeborn — coming soon. These platforms have no open APIs, so sync initially runs via files (Excel or CSV).

Switch ecommerce platform without starting over

Because the integrations work both ways, Ecombooster can also be used to move between platforms. Product data is fetched from the current store, completed and cleaned up in Ecombooster, and then pushed into the new one.

Products, variants, categories, attributes, images, prices and stock come along, and because the data stays in Ecombooster after the move, you keep managing it from there for the new store. What can be moved depends on what the two platforms support. Read more about ecommerce platform migration.

Multiple languages

Names, descriptions and SEO metadata are managed per language and mapped to the store's languages. Missing translations can be produced with Google Translate or, as an add-on, DeepL, which gives higher quality for European languages. With AI content generation, copy can also be written directly in several languages.

When something does not go as expected

Every call to the platform is logged with request, response and result, so you can see exactly what was sent and what the store replied. That makes it easy to find the cause when a product does not look as expected.

Who is it for?

The integrations suit retailers on one of the platforms above who want product data, prices and stock managed in one place instead of directly in the store admin. If you run a platform that is not listed, or your own system, there is a documented REST API. Get in touch and we will go through your setup.

Frequently asked questions

Do we have to switch ecommerce platform?

No. Ecombooster sits next to your existing store and syncs product data to it.

Who decides what is master, Ecombooster or the store?

You do. Platform comparison shows the differences field by field, and for every change you choose whether to fetch it from the store or push it there.

Can we test a sync before anything changes in the store?

Yes. A dry run shows what a sync would do without changing anything.

How often is data synced?

Syncs can run manually or on a schedule. You also choose which fields, such as stock and prices, are pushed to the store automatically the moment they change in Ecombooster.

Can we use Ecombooster to switch ecommerce platform?

Yes. Product data is fetched from the old platform and pushed into the new one, and because it stays in Ecombooster afterwards you keep managing it from there. What can be moved depends on what the two platforms support.

Our platform is not listed. What can we do?

Ecombooster has an open, documented REST API for custom integrations. Contact us and we will tell you what is possible for your platform.
